What the medicine scanner does
Point your camera at any tablet strip, syrup carton or ointment tube. The scanner runs OCR on the label, looks up the brand and generic name, and compares packaging signals to a curated database of legitimate medicines. You get a clear verdict — Verified, Needs Manual Check, or Suspicious — plus the next safe step.

Brand and generic name, dosage, batch number, manufacturing and expiry dates, manufacturer address.
Flags red flags fast

What ImproveIt is not
ImproveIt is an educational tool. A 'Verified' result is a best-effort signal based on visible packaging — it is not a chemical analysis and cannot guarantee that the contents are safe. For prescriptions, diagnoses, allergies and serious symptoms, always consult a licensed doctor or pharmacist.
Medicine scanner — FAQ
Is the ImproveIt medicine scanner free?
Yes. The web app and PWA are free to use today. Every account gets unlimited scans during the launch period.
What can the medicine scanner detect?
It checks label clarity, batch and expiry consistency, manufacturer details, and visual packaging signals. It is not a chemical test — treat the result as a helpful second opinion.
Can I scan handwritten prescriptions?
Not yet. The scanner is built for printed medicine packs and strips. We are exploring prescription support for a future release.
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes. Results, warnings and chat replies are available in English, Hindi and Hinglish based on your profile language.
Is my photo private?
Yes. Uploads are stored privately under your account with row-level security, and never sold or used to train public models.
