What does ImproveIt do?
ImproveIt is an AI-powered medicine safety scanner for India. Scan any medicine pack to check authenticity, expiry, batch info and warnings — in English or Hindi.
Is ImproveIt free?
Yes. All users currently get unlimited scans and chats during launch. After that, basic features stay free with a pay-per-scan option.
Is the medicine scanner accurate?
It is a best-effort visual and label check. It will catch most obvious counterfeits and label issues, but it is not a lab test. For doubt, ask your pharmacist.
Can ImproveIt replace a doctor?
No. It is an educational and safety tool. For diagnosis, prescriptions and serious symptoms, please see a licensed doctor.
How do I scan a medicine?
Sign in, open the app, tap Scan, and either snap a photo of the pack or pick one from your gallery. You get a verdict in seconds.
What does 'Verified' mean?
All visible trust signals on the pack — label clarity, batch consistency, manufacturer details — match the expected pattern for that medicine. It is not a chemical guarantee.
What does 'Needs manual check' mean?
The AI is not confident enough to issue a verdict. Take the pack to a pharmacist or rescan with better lighting and a clearer angle.
What does 'Suspicious' mean?
One or more red flags were detected — mismatched batch, missing manufacturer, blurry print or unusual layout. Do not consume; verify with a pharmacist.
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes. Set your profile language to Hindi and you'll get results, warnings and AI Doctor replies in Hindi.
What is the AI Doctor?
A friendly chat assistant that answers everyday health questions, explains medicines and warns about safety issues. It is not a substitute for a real doctor.
Is my data private?
Yes. Photos and chats are private to your account, secured by row-level security, and never sold.
Do I need to install anything?
No. ImproveIt works in any modern browser and can be installed as a PWA on Android and iOS for an app-like experience.
Can I scan prescriptions?
Not yet — handwritten prescription support is on our roadmap. Today's scanner works on printed packs and strips.
Does ImproveIt work offline?
The app shell works offline (PWA), but scanning and AI features need an internet connection.
What if a scan looks wrong?
You can flag any scan from your history. Our team reviews flagged scans to improve the model.
How do I report a fake medicine I bought?
Keep the pack and bill, then report to your state Drug Control Department and CDSCO. Our blog has a step-by-step guide.
Does ImproveIt check drug interactions?
Yes. With medicines in your profile, the app warns about known drug-drug, drug-food and drug-alcohol interactions.
Is ImproveIt safe for pregnancy?
If you set pregnancy status in your profile, the app prioritises pregnancy-safe guidance and flags warnings on every scan and chat.
Can children use it?
Parents can use it for paediatric medicines. ImproveIt is intended for adults; minors should be supervised.
How do I delete my account?
Email privacy@improveit.in and we'll remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
